PARIS and NEW YORK, April 2019 — EcoVadis, the leader in supply chain sustainability ratings, announces it has been named a finalist in the 2019 World Procurement Awards, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the procurement industry. EcoVadis was shortlisted for the Procurement Technology Award for the company’s ability to drive supply chain CSR visibility, improvement and innovation across global supply chains.

Established and run by Procurement Leaders and in association with SAP Ariba, the World Procurement Awards are the most celebrated and prized awards in the procurement industry, recognizing the most impressive procurement projects, people and organizations from all over the world through collective efforts and dedication to hard work within the global profession.

EcoVadis is also partnering with Procurement Leaders to support the CSR award category, recognizing the procurement function that has used its influence for a positive impact across a broad range of sustainability programs, while remaining financially responsible. It will honor outstanding social, ethical, environmental and community-focused initiatives.

In addition, several EcoVadis customers were named finalists for this year’s CSR awards, including: Clariant, BT, Johnson & Johnson and Mars, Incorporated.

“It’s exciting and inspiring to see so many of the world’s biggest brands make this year’s shortlist and be recognized for the truly great and innovative work they are doing each day in their procurement and supply chain programs,” said Pierre-François Thaler, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of EcoVadis. “The CSR recognition especially is a testament to companies that have used sustainability as a lever for strategic value, and EcoVadis is proud to not only sponsor this category, but also have several customers identified as finalists.”

The World Procurement Award winners will be announced on May 16, 2019 at a ceremony in London.
